At long last it is finally happening and it feels great! Although where we live now is a lovely big property where we run our thoroughbred spelling farm & photography business, it is time to move on. My partner, Greg has leased our current property for over 18 years. He worked for the owner & built all the fences, stables and arenas to make it into a profitable business all those years ago but the house (although renovated inside) has seen better days, the fencing is due to be redone plus the owner has built his new home on the property so our secluded, peaceful country living is now a mere memory. A plan to move has been on the cards for quite some time though. The opportunity came up for us to take over the family farm out at Rosewood nearly 2 years ago but a number of distractions and set backs came about. The timing is right for us to shift and rebuild our spelling farm there now so we are in the process of building new fences, stables and arenas and oh yes…PACKING! Although the property has a lovely large home on it, it could do with a bit of updating. It needs a fresh paint job, timber floors need redoing and a general makeover is in order so I am starting painting as of this weekend. I already have a number of light fittings that will look great in this home as well as many years of renovating experience so I will have the home looking marvellous in no time while Greg will have the outside looking fantastic and workable. There is a lot of work involved in shifting an entire horse farm so I will have to wind down my photography business during this time until we get settled in. I won’t be able to take on any new assignments or bookings for a while but don’t you worry if I have you booked already for portraits or weddings, I haven’t forgotten about you. You will be a welcome distraction from the shifting & renovating
